Charles “Chuck” Cusimano III is a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and attended law school at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. After law school Chuck spent the first several years of his legal career as a prosecutor in the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office before becoming the founder of Cusimano Law Firm in 2006.
Chuck is duly admitted to practice as an attorney and counselor at law in the state courts of Louisiana and Texas, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. Chuck is experienced in handling arbitrations with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA) in Washington, D.C.
In addition to representing clients, Chuck Cusimano was selected to serve as an Appointed Neutral for the Streamlined Settlement Process (SSP), where he serves as mediator over Hurricane Ida insurance coverage related litigation.
Chuck Cusimano was appointed by the Judges of First Parish Court to serve as THO in First Parish Court Traffic Division where he has served since 2010. He was also appointed to sit in traffic court in Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court where he has served since 2019.
Chuck was appointed by the Louisiana Supreme Court to serve on the Judicial Campaign Oversight Committee where he served all three terms from 2010 to 2022 and was designated Chair of the Committee during his last term.
